Relocation for Newly-Hired Faculty and Staff

buyer relocatingRelocation help is available for newly-hired Faculty and Staff for household moves to the Atlanta area as a result of an employment decision by Emory University.  

No commitment to reimburse relocation expenses should be made without the approval of the Dean, Vice President or Chief Business Officer of the hiring school or division.

Who is eligible for relocation reimbursement?  To be eligible for any form of reimbursement, new-hires must move a minimum of 50 miles from their present home, must move within the first year of hire, and must have a reasonable expectation of remaining in their position for longer than one year.

Procurement Services suggests that Emory schools/divisions to provide this Relocation web page of instruction to all eligible newly-hired employees.

Emory's Preferred Relocation Movers

Emory has agreements with A.Arnold World Class Relocation, Armstrong Relocation, Coleman World Group, and EDC Moving Systems.  It is suggested that Faculty and staff utilize only the services of one of these contract movers.  These companies provide guaranteed contract pricing levels, insurance coverage and have a designated customer service team responsible for Emory's overall service.
