Green Buying

Listed below you will find some of the most commonly ordered green supplies utilized by our University and where you may purchase each of them.  In addition to the listed items, many Emory contract suppliers offer a wide selection of sustainable products in Emory Express. 


Green Office Supply Products (Sustainable)
Green cartSelect the Staples Punch-Out in Emory Express for purchasing sustainable office supply products and copy paper.  Once you are there, select the "Eco-Conscious/Recycle" section for your sustainable office products.

Copy Paper (Recycled)
If you are considering a switch to 100% post-consumer waste (PCW) Recycled Paper, select TreeFrog’s Multipurpose Paper in the Staples Punch-Out in Emory Express, and enter Item #697216.  

Printing (Sustainable)
Emory's print contract suppliers are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified.  Within six months of effective date of signing the contract with Emory, a print supplier is required to be certified by the FSC.  For printing of all jobs, see our web page outlining guidelines and contract suppliers at Emory's Print Supplier Program.

Toner Cartridges (Recycled)
Two resources are available.  Order from the Staples Punch-out or the Flex Imaging Solutions catalog in Emory Express.

Emory owned electronics are reused or if obsolete, recycled through Emory Surplus Properties.  All electronics are recycled by our electronic recycling vendor Atlanta Recycling Solutions in Alpharetta, Georgia.  (Personal Electronics: Emory Recycles in conjunction with Atlanta Recycling Solutions holds two electronic events a year. Check with Emory Surplus Properties for upcoming dates.)
